I guess as Malaysians, we could really try and learn to appreciate what we have in our own backyard. My last trip around the peninsular was the Taman Negara trip, and I really loved the short excursion to the National Park. We should brag about more on where we have been in Malaysia, than always over-parading our Europe trips, and let me tell you, Cameron Highlands should be one of it.

Kudos to my Mom and Sister for the simple and beautiful Nikah ever. For those of you who would like a detail info of the wedding preparations, please log on to www.koleksi1001resepi.com (my mom's blog).
I haven't update my blog in the longest time. it is ust that post-wedding, I felt a bit more vulnerable to share things about myself. In it's entirely, I started Tulisan as a travel blog, and then I started to travel less, and rambled more about needless things. And so, I have decided to do some blogpost clean-up, and save the space for better important things to write about.
Currently, all non-personal things are blogged on www.luxdemocrats.com, feel free to follow me there. Here it will remain for family and friends, the less glamorous side of me.

Suppose to be studying for my exams, but I am a bit too distracted to be memorising now...well, not by my husband, but by procrastination..the husband is not around anyways...he went to Melaka to settled things regarding the Majlis Bertandang (the wedding reception on the men's side).
Early into the new year, and as we are leaving 2013 in a few minutes (or already have by the time i finish rambling in this post), I never really did have any new year resolution...for me, both 2013 and 2014 is a continuos year... one very loonnggg 24-months in a year feel. Largely because I am still studying, with hopes of graduating this coming May 2014.
What have 2013 been like for me? It was a tough year, but not as tough as some of my friend's hardship. One friend lost her mom earlier this month... another had to start living independently after comfortably getting a divorce. How hard could my hard times have been?
To sum it up, I had to balance between studying and rushing for deadlines, also doing some part-time jobs... November till December proved to be the hardest...exams and thesis submission was only a day away from Nikah day... even the day after nikah (the night before, as well) was spent focusing on Thesis submission. i wasn't sure how the plan didn't align well, but sometimes, the academic calendar can shift as they please... which resulted to plans colliding, head-on.
My grandmother isn't doing too well either...leaving the family in heaps of anxiety..the stress came-about because everything was happening at once! However, Alhamdulillah, God-willing...I managed to FINISH EVERYTHING IN ONE GO!...I am now down to one last stretch for this year, and that is to finish my exams!
2014, I do hope to achieve a few goals...the first is to...
I have never been the best Architecture student, but I have been quite a sturdy student and continuously persevered as much as I could. Like most of my struggling friends, I want to at least finish this stage of academic. Not everyone survives or is courageous enough to take-up part 2...yes, it is veryyyyyy hard. It is not much about creativity at this level, but the level of critical thinking and maturity.
2. TO PLAY THE WIFE ROLE WELL
To learn to cook, to learn how to wash his clothes, to learn how to be a bit more soft spoken.....to learn the way he does things, to reflect upon myself more and change.....all that.
Made him tuna spaghetti earlier, he said it was "Okay"... -__-"
MAKE SAVE MONEY AND TRAVEL
One thing I realllyyy like about Mr Ariff Shah is how, he always sees things positively. Like when we talked about marriage, despite his troubles...he still tried his best to make it happen, no matter how unstable he may be..and Alhamdulillah it went well and he managed to achieve that hard-step all the way. Now, we are planning for an adventure together next year. But we need to save RM10k!!!! I hope, Allah SWT will be kind to us once again and let the rezeki roll-in as we both agree to have one last fun (because we didn't know each other long, baru nak masuk dua tahun), so atleast one really long date together before taking a bigger leap.

It's been a funny one week since 22nd December. I now, have a new room mate!
Ok, like woahh, I am married. I look over my shoulder and heyyyy there's a guy in my room! and moreover, he tails me around almost everywhere! Mama tak marah pulak tu..because...because..he is my annoying husband!
Husband?! What a weird and new term for me to use. I kept asking him if he felt funny that he is now married. I told him many, many times that I am still in a star-struck phase. Now, I have to wake-up early and make him breakfast and sees him off to work....this is good actually, because I am forced to always wake-up at 6 AM everyday and not go back to sleep.
In reality, it is like having a really good friend 24/7. Since we are 1 year and 7 months apart of age, the level of childishness is almost the same..but...but because we are living in my parents house, I could still freely go find mama if I am sick..or migraine..or hungry..just the same..immature...daughter. And if I am bored and I need to sembang2, I still have ayah and my sister around (it doesn't help that the husband is a quiet person), if I need to call someone fat.... Fatso is just right next door.
The Nikah, 22 December 2013
Twas a beautiful nikah, simple and elegant..that is all I could say. Mama and Adik did an excellant job at arranging everything and everyone. It was practically a very tough time for me to go through. I had to carry the load of a bride-to-be and submitting my final thesis and assignments on the week before, even the day after nikah was still my thesis submission.
Alhamdulillah everything went well... almost all the bridesmaid showed-up, the food was good, the lafaz nikah was done in one go..I got emo and cried..and destroyed my mascara...
I am still waiting for the official photos to write a longer individual post. My official photographer was Firdaus Sinuzula (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Firdaus-Sinuzula-Photography) and the official videographer was Ridzuan Azizah cinematography (https://www.facebook.com/RAWFilms).
The Reception, 25th December 2013
The reception was a bit more tiring than the Nikah. Despite that only half of my invited guests (60 out of 100) whom I've already send out cards to, actually attended the wedding, there was still a lot of about 800-900 guests of my parents' (instead of the expected 1000 pax) that came all the way to Dewan Merak Kayangan from various parts of the country.
Some of my closest friends from primary school, high-school, University, and even friends from abroad...made it. We were really happy that most of the guests turned-up because I was literally searching for faces while sitting on top of the Pelamin.... we had a lot of left-over food afterwords...goodness, one week supply of nasi minyak!
In short, everything went BEYOND my expectation...there were some screw ups and mistakes regarding the wedding, but they were mainly unnoticeable and nothing too major. My family really did a great GREAT job...and I knew, I didn't deserve this much awesomeness...
Can't wait for the official photos and to blog individually regarding the wedding events. Most of the handiwork are by my parents...sisters Hani and Farah Natasya, my opah and her doggy (door-gift, she just pronounces them as doggy in short..), my siblings..other family members and friends, of course, not forgetting my husband...who managed to put up with me for the past few weeks of my nagging.
Too much love, alhamdulillah. <3

When asked, what would he like for dinner. His reply was a simple... "Fruit Salad".
Shall I put my hands in the air now and say "Alhamdulillah! Tak payah masak??"
I have asked him many, many times, what would he like for dinner after coming home from work. His reply remains either...Roti, Soup or Fruits. I was trying to get a real dinner dish answer out of him... .hmm..No..nothing.
Well, it's not like I am so good at cooking. I mean, I could barely boil eggs...but obviously I would like to cook for him. And since my mom is such a great cook, people say it will naturally come to me... but it seems like I could happily stick to my detox juice and pasta, and just make him some Soup (home-made..not cans, that way I'll have some work to do...) and of course...his Fruit Salad.
However, some of Mr. Fiancee's favourite meal includes Chicken dishes and Sushi/Japanese dishes, as well as Thai Tomyam. He even gave me a chicken recipe book for me to learn!
For Malay cooking it is definitely Masak Lemak Cili Api and Lemang with Rendang/serunding. Not forgetting his malay roti canai (not mamak, this guy DOES NOT ENJOY MAMAK) and ofcourse Nasi Lemak, Nasi Kerabu and Nasi Dagang.
So far, these are the noticeable dishes I know he enjoys. When he starts eating, he starts it with fruits or something sweet....slowly, and by the time people are about to tambah nasi second round, dia baru nak start with his first (and only) plate of rice.
Getting him to eat is like telling a seven year old skinny boy to eat. Eating is like his enemy. He would whine...or complain if I put more than two scoops of rice onto his plate. He would squirm. *sigh*
I don't know if I should consider myself lucky, but I guess, with the very few dishes he enjoys, and an even smaller eating portion.... I pretty much do not have to cook like crazy.
I hope he likes Kurma though. I just love it. Hurrah for the skinny man!! #sianariff
