Korea Day 6: Insa-Dong, Unhyeongung and Sansu-Dong

A post before I head to the City of Busan tomorrow (Today was the last day of class, yeay!). Yesterday after class, I decided to walk around Seoul by myself, since most of my classmates weren't done with their assignments yet. I head to the other side of Seoul and went to Insa-Dong and the palace nearby (Uhnyeongung) and Sansu-Dong.

Insa-Dong is a central street filled with antiques shops and art galleries. Well, that's what the tourist guide book describe-lah...however, there were a number of typical souvenir shops too. Some were selling a different style of HanBok, beautiful Korean embroideries and Tea shops. My trip there started from Hoegi Metro train and got off at Anguk station. Before going to Insa-Dong gil, I head to a nearby palace Uhnyeongung, which was the private residence of Heungseon Daewongun, father of Emperor Gojong.

Erk. My fingers looks so kedut and kecut...sejuk kot...the last photo shows a shop selling "baju kampung" orang Korea..har har..siapa suka tengok gameshow Korea "Family Comes Here" dulu will find this interesting. 

Next was Sansu-Dong Cafe Street....supposed to be filled with unique cafes...but when I got there, I felt like there were more clubs and bars then coffee shops..Siapa yang suka tengok cerita coffee prince maybe akan terfikir nak datang sini (samalah kita)..but yeah, you will be a tiny bit dissapointed, but hey...for the sake of exploration, why not?

....and that...was pretty much it for my day of walking around Seoul, solo.

Off to Busan tomorrow, Korea's emerging city of Skyscrapers and High-Rise. Until then...6 more days before heading home. BTW, congrats to this guy for winning a make-over prize...I don't need to get him anything now..GOOD! :)
